Read Write Inc.

Read Write Inc. is a dynamic whole-school literacy programme rooted in synthetic phonics with inspiring professional development. It has been designed to transform the teaching of reading and writing in schools. The scheme includes five programmes for use in primary schools: Read Write Inc. Phonics (including Phonics for Nursery), Read Write Inc. Fresh Start (which can also be used in secondary schools), Read Write Inc. Spelling, Read Write Inc. Comprehension, and Read Write Inc. Literacy and Language.

The scheme is for children from Reception (P1) to Year 4 (P5), and children with SEND in older year groups. Literature is placed at the core and the aim is to put reading at the heart of the school so every child can read regardless of age, background or need.
