By encouraging readers to ask questions about the world around them and by incorporating some 'try these' activities, science concepts are explored the hands-on way.

It looks at science concepts from a novel angle, for example, 'What would happen without...?' It shows pupils how to apply science to their everyday lives and in doing so, encourages an active approach to the subject.
