"Fiction 1" provides a diverse and stimulating introduction to books.

"Fiction 1" is divided into four bands, providing a structured means of progression in acquiring reading skills. "Read-On Books" are for a child's growing steps to independent reading.

They consist of clusters of books all written by the same author.

Each cluster relates to a "Read-Aloud" book also by the same author.
