"Videorama" features current Austrian video artworks from the ursula blickle video archive.

Renowned international experts in video art scanned the archive with a view to garnering a selection of artists and their works for the compilation DVD and the exhibition in the Kunsthalle Wien.

The two DVDs present thousands of images on the way through a dense visual jungle.

The show, which might be divided into the sub-categories of Narrations, Extensions and Clips, comprises short films which not only steal us away to fictitious creative worlds, but also allow us to experience the joy of artists in the act of story-telling.

We are being confronted with contemplative pictorial epics alongside exciting and suspense-laden images - languid lingering over the images appears in stark contrast with the cliplike videos, which promise an amusing entertainment, while also displaying structural similarities to music videos and advertising clips. The artworks are divided into sections entitled Animating, Acting, Abstracting, Moving, Narrating, and Transforming and feature artists like Stermann & Grissemann, Axel Stockburger, ErwinWurm, Heimo Zobernig, Klaus Auderer, BitteBitteJaJa (Ulu Braun/Roland Rauschmeier), Thomas Draschan, Anna Jermolaewa, Mara Mattuschka & Gabriele Szekatsch, JoshMuller, Rudolf Polanszky, Gerwald Rockenschaub, Markus Schinwald, Franz Schubert, Veronika Schubert, Walter Seidl/Stefan Geissler, Hubert Sielecki, Station Rose, etc.
