Learning to learn for life 3 : research and practical examples for secondary schools

This is the third book in the "Learning to Learn for Life" series - providing practical examples of best practice in developing better schools and lifelong learners.

The focus of the third book is Secondary School pupils.

This book is based on the Campaign for "Learning"'s Learning to Learn in Schools Action Research Project, which is examining how to help pupils learn most effectively and so give each one the best chance to achieve his or her full potential.

It is the third book in the "Learning to Learn for Life" series of practical examples for everyone interested in developing better schools and lifelong learners, and has a particular emphasis on Key Stage 3 and 4.

The Campaign for "Learning"'s Learning to Learn in Schools action research project is based on two years of ground-breaking research in 25 schools by over 100 teachers and many thousands of pupils.

The research has explored a variety of approaches to teaching pupils, how they learn and evaluated the impact on standards, pupil motivation and teacher morale. Books in this series describe what learning to learn is, outline the research project, feature in-depth case studies written by teachers that have a wealth of activities which can be adapted by other schools, and give ideas to help teachers move learning to learn forward in schools.
