The sport is set to become even more popular since Englands victory at the 5th Rugby World Cup in Australia this year. The book is aimed at the beginner wanting to learn the sport from the ground up, either for themselves or for their children. It's divided up into four main sections: understanding the game, playing it, training for it, attending games in the UK.

The author Nick Cain has been a rugby writer for the Sunday Times since 1995, writing features, news stories, match reports and ghost-writing columns for Lawrence Dallaglio, Jeremy Guscott and Bob Dwyer.

He was also editor of Rugby World magazine for nine years.
