This book, focusing on nursing standards of care, is organized according to the FANCAPS conceptual framework. Within each major category the nursing standards of care are described using the nursing process of assessment parameters, interventions, and outcome evaluations. Also demonstrated in the book is the establishment of a connection between standards of care, standards of practice and patient outcome through a quality assurance program.
