Dance and drama

Dance and drama are ways of harnessing young children's energy and imagination.

They enable children to express themselves and to develop self-confidence and control.

This book shows how both can be used as a means of developing a whole range of skills across the early years curriculum.There are six chapters, each covering one of SCAA's Areas of Learning for under-fives: language and literacy; mathematics; personal and social development; knowledge and understanding of the world; physical development and creative development.

The activities are child-centred, building on the children's own interests.
