Young Karim Amir (Naveen Andrews)'s teenage existence is radically altered when his Pakistani father gives up his civil service job and suburban lifestyle to become a spiritual guru.

Karim soon discovers sex, drugs, acting and punk music as he enters a phase of experimentation to discover his true identity.
