Spy Kids Trilogy

Triple bill of children's spy adventures. In 'Spy Kids' (2001), super-spies Gregorio (Antonio Banderas) and Ingrid (Carla Guigino) have given up their lives of intrigue and adventure in order to raise their children Carmen (Alexa Vega) and Juni (Daryl Sabara).

But Gregorio has invented a special artificial brain, and sinister super-villain Fegan Floop (Alan Cumming) needs this brain in order to bring his army of robots to life and complete his plans for world domination.

So Floop kidnaps Gregorio and Ingrid, leaving it up to the kids Carmen and Juni to come to the rescue.

Thus they embark upon an adventure which involves rocket planes, remote-control submarines, electric chewing gum, and robot dopplegangers as they advance towards Floop's secret headquarters, ready to save both their parents and the liberty of the free world.

In 'Spy Kids 2 - The Island of Lost Dreams' (2002), Gregorio and Ingrid are back in business - but this time it is Carmen and Juni who are enlisting their help to save the world from destruction.

The kids are now official OSS spies, and once again they are on the trail of a mad scientist (Steve Buscemi), who, after a botched experiment, lives on a secluded island with a gang of mutant creatures.

The siblings still bicker - but having learnt a lot from their last mission, they are more clued up on how to deal with these pesky adults.

In the third film in the trilogy, Spy Kids 3 - Game Over' (2003), Carmen is kidnapped by the evil Toymaker (Sylvester Stallone) and imprisoned inside a virtual reality game.

It's up to Juni to venture into the game and save his sister from the villain's clutches...
