Collection of four classic films directed by John Ford for Columbia Pictures.

In 'The Whole Town's Talking' (1935) Arthur Ferguson Jones (Edward G.

Robinson) is mistaken for infamous bank robber Killer Mannion, and the criminal decides to use the situation to his advantage. 'The Long Gray Line' (1955) chronicles the life of Irish immigrant Marty Maher (Tyrone Power).

Having arrived in America from Tipperary, Maher enlists in the US Army where he rises through the ranks.

He later becomes a swimming instructor at the US Military Academy at West Point, New York, and begins a romantic relationship with his future wife Mary O'Donnell (Maureen O'Hara). 'Gideon's Day' (1958) follows a day in the life of Inspector George Gideon (Jack Hawkins) of Scotland Yard as he works on the front line tackling the wave of crime and corruption sweeping the nation's capital.

As he does so, he must confront an officer accused of taking bribes, handle a murder in Manchester and a burglary in London.

Finally, in 'The Last Hurrah' (1958) aging New England mayor Frank Skeffington (Spencer Tracy) runs for re-election but is challenged by an ambitious young candidate.
