Mozart: The Great Operas

Collection of seven operas composed by Mozart. 'Idomeneo' is performed at the Salzburg Festival with Ramón Vargas in the title role and Magdalena Kozená as Idamante.

Sir Roger Norrington conducts the Camerata Salzburg and the Salzburger Bachchor. 'Die Entführung aus dem Serail' is performed by the Dutch National Opera and features Edgaras Montvidas and Laura Aikin in the lead roles.

The Netherlands Chamber Orchestra and the Chorus of De Nederlandse Opera are conducted by Constantinos Carydis.

Sylvain Cambreling leads the Orchestra and Chorus of the Opéra National de Paris in a production of 'Le nozze di Figaro' starring Peter Mattei and Christiane Oelze as the Count and Countess Almaviva. 'Don Giovanni', recorded at Spain's Teatro Real, features Carlos Álvarez as the eponymous character with the rest of the cast including Lorenzo Regazzo, María Bayo, José Bros and Sonia Ganassi.

The Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Real are conducted by Victor Pablo Pérez. 'Così fan tutte' is performed at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera with Miah Persson and Anke Vondung playing sisters Fiordiligi and Dorabella and Topi Lehtipuu and Luca Pisaroni as their lovers Ferrando and Guglielmo.

Iván Fischer conducts the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and The Glyndebourne Chorus.

Cambreling again conducts the Orchestra and Chorus of the Opéra National de Paris in 'La Clemenza di Tito' which stars Christoph Prégardien, Catherine Naglestad and Susan Graham.

Finally, 'Die Zauberflöte', recorded at Italy's La Scala, features Saimir Pirgu as the prince Tamino with the cast also including Genia Kühmeier, Alex Esposito and Albina Shagimuratova as The Queen of the Night.

Roland Böer leads the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro alla Scala.
