The world used to be a much darker place.

Before electric lights found their way onto every street.

Into every home.

But that was about to change.

Light was about to find its way out into the world . . .

What if Thomas Edison reached out 

to a glass company in a small town in upstate New York 

to make those first glass bulbs for his incandescent lamps? 

And what if it wasn't a master glassblower, 

but a mysterious boy who blew that first glass bubble? 

As strange lights begin showing up all over town,

and strangers, too, who have a glow, a shimmery shine,  

strolling the streets in silence, young Jacklyn Styles, or Jack 

as she's known around town, and the small pug Fetch,

soon discover there's more mystery to the boy than anyone knows.
