Anaethetic Agents : Controlling Exposure Under COSHH

This publication is aimed at workers in the health-care sector.

It gives guidance on compliance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 1994 when using anaesthetic gases.

It explains occupational exposure limits (OELs) for these substances and describes how these help to protect people who work with anaesthetics.

The Department of Health and the Health Services Advisory Committee were both consulted in the preparation of this publication.
