Provide students with a firm grounding in Caribbean history and prepare them for their future studies at CSEC (R) level, with a lower secondary course to help them develop wider skills in social studies through an active approach to the study of social history. - Ensure full coverage with content spanning Caribbean history from ancient civilisations to late 20th Century independence covered across two books. - Provide practice in different skill areas such as recall, interpretation and evaluation, map work, research and field work, interviewing, comparing, critiquing, debating and class discussion. - Reinforce learning through comprehensive revision questions.
