Vincent Cassel stars as Ambrosio, a devout monk widely known for his inspirational preachings, who has spent his entire life within the monastery walls after being left on the monks' doorstep as a baby.

Now taking his vows as an adult, Ambrosio is highly respected by his brothers at the monastery and the surrounding village.
