Pocket book Shakespeare

Patricia Christie, a devotee of William Shakespeare, has produced this book in the hope that it will endear the Bard to more people and encourage them to explore and enjoy his plays and sonnets.

This comical collection includes poetry, short stories based on Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth, a pantomime sketch based on The Merry Wives of Windsor and an imaginary exchange of e-mails inspired by The Taming of the Shrew.

The Merchant of Venice has been transformed into a series of limericks and potted versions of The Comedy of Errors and Hamlet have been set to the tunes of old music-hall songs.
