The winter's trail

David grew up on a cattle ranch in Colorado. After going to Vietnam, he wanted to have a life outside the ranch.

But circumstances made him choose, and his love of the ranch and his relationship with his horse drew him back.

Ironwood had a view of Pikes Peak, and the house his father built was a great place to share with his wife, Ruth, but the horses in his life were the true reason he was there.

All of his relationships lead to a life of satisfaction, danger, and adventure.
