Diagnostic Assessment in Child and Adolescent Psychopathology

This volume reviews the principal methods for assessing psychopathology in children aged 6-17.

Chapters describe interviewer- and respondent-based diagnostic interviews; scales and interviews used for specific disorders, such as the disruptive, anxiety, and pervasive developmental disorders; and key biological measures.

Also addressed are the empirical and theoretical bases of DSM-IV and ICD-10 classifications, cross-cultural and developmental issues, the assessment of family impairment history, and retrospective adult assessment of childhood.
