Maintaining the Design Integrity of Nuclear Installations Throughout Their Operating Life : A Report by the International Nuclear Safety Group

This INSAG report discusses the problem of maintaining the integrity of the design of a nuclear power plant over its entire lifetime in order to achieve a continuous high level of safety.

The purpose of this report is to identify the issues and some of the principles that should be addressed, discuss some of the solutions to the problem and define the specific responsibilities of designers, operators and regulators.
