Don't Provoke the Machine is a terrifying political satire that gives a glimpse into civilian life under tyrannical rule.

The collection of poems shows how the state reduces the individual down to pure scum, which in turn justifies their retaliation against it.

The poem discusses topics such as owning nothing and loving it, having the boot of authority on your neck, fifteen-minute cities, disrespected working class, and the people's revolt against the aforesaid tyranny.

The purpose of the poem is to inform the audience that the state only cares about preserving its power grabs.

Don't Provoke the Machine ultimately pokes the bear by railing against every and all axillaries that make the people become slaves to those in power.

The story consists of ten independent poems. Each poem is eight stanzas long, those of which contain four lines in rhyme and written in perfect iambic pentameter.
