Jack Dawson's days as a police detective have ended. His life has taken unfortunate turns, and he finds himself financially insecure. His son intends to become a senator, but has a secret he wants to stay private. 

There's a former judge fearing for his life. The police are searching for a killer before the killer finds the judge. In his desperation, the judge recruits Jack. He offers to pay Jack a large sum of money for his help. In addition, the judge is aware of his son's secret and doesn't shy away from displaying this knowledge.

Jack sets out to find the killer. Along the way, he discovers shocking truths to challenge his priorities. Can he ignore the bloodshed from decades ago? Suddenly, Jack must decide whether exposing the truth is worth risking his son's career. The journey is fast, and the truth is disturbing, but will justice prevail?
