Nearing the end of the sixth age, a young Luminary named Vivian is born into a raging war that has all but annihilated her race. She is found as an infant by an elderly human named Yehrua who lost his family and nearly his life to the evil Queen Jesheb. Sympathetic to the Luminary's cause, he raises Vivian as his own daughter and passes on ancient traditions that he was taught through a forbidden friendship. At the end of Yehrua's life, Vivian faces many intense dangers and evils, yet emerges victoriously. Through her journey she experiences intense transformations and forges unbreakable friendships.
