Daisy (the dog) goes out for walks, but little Flute (the kitten) is just too scared. And when Daisy describes the exciting creatures she sees, it all sounds even worse - well, really, a large rat with a bushy tail that climbs trees?

But very courageously, Flute tries going with them on a night walk, and Daisy scares off all the stalking neighbourhood cats. And then Flute surprises everybody by nobly defending Daisy against an over-protective wild cat.
