This comprehensive new high school textbook is designed to meet tenth-grade curricula and also matches the curricula of many secondary school social studies programs. "Global History, Volume Two" complements Barron's currently available Volume One edition, which meets curriculum requirements for grade nine.

Volume Two consists of 20 chapters, which are categorized according to four general eras, and extend from the year 1826 to the present day. (Previous eras of global history are covered in Volume One.) The contents of Volume Two can be summarized as follows: Era V.

An Age of Revolution, Continued (1826-1914), Era VI.

A Half Century of Crisis and Achievement (1900-1945), Era VII.

The 20th Century (1945-2000), Era VIII. The 21st Century. The text is supplemented with multiple-choice questions, thematic essays, and document-based questions, plus hundreds of maps, charts, and illustrations.

A teacher's manual is also available.
