They first visit Cape Town and Stellenbosch, then recruit Jackson Bosch as a bodyguard and guide for Kruger Park.Traipsing through Kruger Park, the Waters enjoy the thrill of the wildlife yet are aware of the preserve's animals having no boundaries.

Camped in a safe compound with guards does reduce the danger making the relative excitement feeling cathartic for all.Unexpectedly, the Waters are attacked by a Boko Haram splinter group while in the Park kidnaping Betsy for ransom.

This action requires Gannon and his guides to assemble a rescue plan.

To validate their kidnapping, Boko Haram found a Johannesburg newspaper to publish the ransom demands which speculates a deadly ending.
