EUCLID is an interactive key and information system, and is designed for use by anyone, from professional researchers to the novice with a basic knowledge of plants.

This revised edition features an easy-to-use browser interface, enabling users to quickly access EUCLID's rich stores of eucalypt information, even search it.

EUCLID now includes 12 species of Angophora, a genus closely related to Eucalyptus.

Nearly 200 new taxon images have been added or upgraded, and four characters and one character state, all fully illustrated, have been added.

This edition uses the latest LucID Player for identification, incorporating many new features that make identification even easier. Features include: user-friendly, interactive identification system with a browser interface; coverage of all species and subspecies of eucalypt (312) and angophora (12) in south-eastern Australia; a complete catalogue of eucalypt information in one source, including descriptions, uses, distribution and taxonomy for each species; species illustrations including photographs of the habit, bark, leaf venation, buds, flowers and fruit, and a map; easy identification even with limited material - choose from 120 illustrated features of the plant's distribution, habit, bark, flower buds, fruits, seeds and leaves (juvenile or adult); more than 2000 high-quality colour images; and a database of 60,000 specimens, developed from the Australian National Herbarium, plus glasshouse studies of juvenile morphology and extensive field observations.
