On 6 February 1788 the Massachusetts Convention ratified the new Constitution, making Massachusetts the sixth pillar in the Great or Grand Federal Superstructure.

This fourth and last volume on Massachusetts continues the story of the ratification struggle with a wealth of material commenting on the Convention's activities.
