Sophie's Secret

Sophie lived with her mother in Rwanda amidst the tension between the Hutu and Tutsi, until one day the sun fell from the sky and covered her life with darkness.

Something bad happened to her mother, and now Sophie has to move thousands of miles away to live with her uncle and his family.

It is not her choice, but she has no option. Sophie doesn't know how her distant relatives would receive her. Meanwhile, her cousin Christophe, who also moved to a foreign land after suffering a deep loss in Rwanda, is equally unsure about having an unexpected stranger living with him.

Christophe tries but struggles. Sophie attempts to make new friends who have secrets, whilst living with a dark secret of her own. Will her uncle and his family accept her? Will Sophie make new friends? Will she share her secret?
