The First Vision is the founding event of Mormonism. Critics of Joseph Smith have questioned Joseph Smith's accounts of First Vision. Were there revivals in 1820 near Palmyra? Did Joseph lie about seeing God? Did a Methodist minister really scold Joseph Smith?

BYU professor Dr. Steven Harper looks at the malleability of memory. Can Joseph's account be trusted?
