In these 3 programmes, 9 children from around the UK talk about their lives, discussing their different cultures and backgrounds, and the way they work and interact with others. Full of cross-curricular links to subjects including geography, history, languages, dance and PE, this resource is ideal for helping children to reflect on their own identity - and to realise that however different people seem, many of their values and ways of working remain the same.The teacher's book offers ideas and activities to get children thinking and talking about what they have watched, offering discussion points such as how are the children different from one another and how are they the same, and are there common values or ways of living throughout the variety of backgrounds, religions and interests shown in the programmes?

There are also suggestions about how to encourage children to reflect on their own sense of identity, and how they relate to their friends, family, school and the wider community.
