Science Directions - Coordinator's Handbook

The Coordinator's Handbook provides an overview of the series as an aid to whole school planning from Reception to Year 6.

Contains correlations to the NC, the QCA Scheme of Work, 5-14 for Scotland, NI curriculum.

Guidance on running INSET, introducing the scheme to the rest of the scheme, plus full resource lists.

Progression from Year 1 to 6 is ensured with a colour Pupil Book for each year.

Pupil books combine information and activities and are closely integrated to Teaching Guide lesson plans.

The Teacher's Guides for each of Years 1 to 6 offer: accessible lesson plans with step by step guidance and suggested questions; easy to understand science background to each topic, with illustrations; key vocabulary to boost literacy skills; practical guidance on assessment and differentiation; clear listing of resources needed and indispensable safety advice.
