Mudrick transcribed: classes and talks

Marvin Mudrick taught literature at the University of California at Santa Barbara from 1949 until his death in 1986.

In the early 1980s several students of his made tape-recordings of some of his classes and talks, and this book contains transcripts of those tapes.

Among the occasions tape-recorded are a class on eighteenth-century English prose, a talk on literary criticism, two interviews about the College of Creative Studies at UCSB, a talk about his upbringing, a talk on artistic response, a talk on geniuses, and a talk on teaching.
