This practical guide is for all specialist and non-specialist teachers involved in teaching Christianity as a world religion.

Part one considers how Christianity is taught today, interpretations of the law and the place of Christianity within collective worship.

Part two provides practical help for teaching Christianity to different age groups and includes detailed ideas for tackling themes central to the religion.

Each theme includes: information on the underlying story, meanings, religious aspects and celebrations; practical classroom suggestions for teaching these topics to different age groups, divided by Key Stage; and a resource list of appropriate further reading for pupils and teachers.
