Educating Rita

A 2009 BBC Radio 4 production of Willy Russell's much-loved play for two characters.

Rita wants to better herself, and has enrolled on an Open University course to study English Literature.

Frank is her tutor, a shambling, chaotic would-be poet.

The two have an immediate and profound effect on one another.

But as he gives her the key to becoming cultured, he observes her moving further away from the unspoiled woman he admires.
