Here I Am...Look at Me!

It's morning rush hour! In the never-ending, crazy rush to get kids off to school, a parent often overlooks the most important thing ... their child! Parents put great emphasis on what their kids are wearing and if they're groomed properly.

All done in a mad rush, while trying to play "beat the clock" so everyone can arrive where they need to be on time.

It's at a moment like this that a child's wisdom needs to be heard and listened to on a daily basis.

We need to stop and look at the world through a child's perspective.

Parents work hard teaching their children, but there are also things we can learn from them!

More is not always better, and simplicity has a lasting effect.

From a child's point of view: Please don't look at my clothes all wrinkled and such, my shoes are on wrong, but that doesn't matter so much.

Please don't say my jeans have a rip in the knee, it really doesn't matter.

Here I am ... Look at Me! Deborah K. Morris lives in Dorsey, Illinois, with her husband, Kevin, daughter, Sarah, and son, Douglas, who is the illustrator for this book.

The author taught preschool for 12 years, which helped her gain more insight into child/parent relationships.
