Coleridge's Writings - Vol 1 : On Politics and Society

This book contains material for the study of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's political and social theory.

His best known works, the second "Lay Sermon" of 1817 and "In the Constitution of Church and State" are printed with only slight abridgements. The collection also includes sets of briefer extracts tracing the major steps in the development of Coleridge's mature thought.

The editor has provided linking commentaries to the texts notes and a bibliography of secondary study of Coleridge's social and political ideas.
