Tom Courtenay and Romy Schneider star in this British comedy thriller directed by Dick Clement.

Charismatic antiques dealer Gerry Otley (Courtenay) is caught up in a case of mistaken identity as he is separately accused of murder, of being a spy and of working as a double agent.

He also manages to get kidnapped more than once and finds himself involved with a foreign agent, Imogen (Schneider), all while trying to navigate his way back to a normal life.
