This is a stand alone CD-ROM containing the complete "Physical Review: The First Hundred Years." Version 2.0 contains the same content as the original CD issued in 1995 (available then only packed with the book).

It has been upgraded to exploit current technology and to maintain accessibility of the content to current users.

The upgraded CD allows browsing by author, keyword, title and year of publication.

The new CD-ROM is also bound into reprinted copies of "The Physical Review: The First Hundred Years" (see note below).

The CD-ROM contains more than 1,000 original papers (the equivalent of more than 7400 pages of text) from the first century of publication of The Physical Review (1893-1993) and Physical Letters (1961-1993).

Along with celebrated works by luminaries such as Einstein, Bohr, and Feynman, this collection includes a rich selection of important critical research.

The papers are divided into twelve chapters, corresponding to the major subfields of physics.

Each chapter is introduced by an eminent physicist who offers a concise summary of past developments and future trends.
