This book focuses on two Suffolk castles, Framlingham and Orford, both of which have substantial remains and are a visual basis for the study of the past and a starting point for activities extending across the curriculum.

The castles can be studied as entities in themselves or used to illustrate a particular period, the locality or different types of fortification.
