The first life in the day article appeared in the "Sunday Times Magazine" in 1977 and since then this successful feature has covered over 1200 lives of the famous and not-so famous.

This collection brings together 100 of the most interesting and unusual interviewees, from Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama, Colonel Gadaffi and Muhammad Ali to Kate Winslet, Michael Owen and Christopher Reeve.

Illustrated throughout with photographs of the contributors, each interview includes a short update on "where they are now".
