The novel's genre is murder, suspense, and mystery with a small alt-right group as the antagonists and two policemen as the protagonists.

The antagonists are led by a mentally tortured blue-collar guy named Bent.

The protagonists are cousins: Sven is based in Bergen and Svent is based in Oslo.

Sven is the Bergen's Chief Detective while Svent is a Director in the national PST (Politiets sikkerhetstjeneste) organization which is similar to the British Secret Service.

There is murder and mayhem starting in Chapter 1 and it continues throughout for roughly 88,000 words.

The novel takes place in 2008 during the time of year fondly called the Summer Solstice Festival by the Norwegians, a time of vacation with long, long days and almost no dark night-time.
