Making Sense of the Children Act (2 Rev ed)

This is a guide to the Children Act 1989, now updated and expanded to cover the secondary legislation and guidance issued by the Department of Health during 1991.

It is specifically geared to make accessible the Children Act for social care staff and helps social work staff and child care workers (voluntary and statutory organizations) understand how the new Act changes their practice.

It also deals with how different parts of the Act relate to previous legislation.
