The book is designed to make using these plays easy and enjoyable for even the most reticent of children.

It is not intended that children should try to produce the scripts as plays, though if they have the time and inclination to do so, it will enhance their reading.

Rather, they should see the reading itself as a kind of performance.

This will involve them in deciding how the lines should be read and making the best use of expression.
