Barney's Test : A witty romantic comedy (Pocket ed.)

When Barney Vokes, the hopeless romantic comes up to bat in the game of love he finds that there are a few googlies coming his way. Humility, hubris and hand/eye co-ordination all play a part in being the man of the match. 

When his old flame re-appears he is sure he can rekindle the feeling of love. Joan has her eye set on the outfield and it looks like Barney is the way to get there. Put a Greek family into the mix, plus a cousin called Rosa and Barney's troubles  just doubled.
