Naughty Mr Macaw

Imagine what it would be like to have a Macaw as a pet!

That's what happened to the children in our story, Kinsey and Jake.

Their family name was Carter and they lived with their Mum Fenella, who was a nurse at the local hospital and their Dad, Tom.

Tom wasn't there very often as he was in the Merchant Navy so he was often away on his ship visiting different countries with his work.

Their 'Aunty Venezuela' lived nearby. She was really their Gran and Fenella's Mum but they loved saying 'Aunty Venezuela', which is where she originally came from, so the name stuck.

She saw them most days and often picked them up from school when Mum was at work.

Their Dad had bought them a pet Macaw to keep them all company while he was away.

What a naughty Macaw he was! Fenella was always threatening to send him to the zoo.
