This book draws extensively on United Nations records and uses 600 pages of material from the Public Record Office and 100 pages from the US National Archives in its analysis of the armistices during the Korean War, 1950-53.

The author also interviewed Lord Gladwyn, British Ambassador of the UN at the time, and Lord Franks, British Ambassador in Washington, as well as using material in letters from Dean Rusk, Paul Nitze and Ernest Gross.

Material from Sweden and Switzerland is also included. "The Korean Armistice" is designed to be of interest to undergraduate and graduate students of history and for those attending technical college.
