The unfortunate story of the Reverend Malcom Bain, from the parish of Knockban, where he was not only a Minister of the Church but a woodcarver, piper and composer.

For many years he admired the poetic works of Dun Ban MacIntyre, so much so, he composed a Pibroch in his honour but due to Malcolm's accidental death, he was unable to deliver his completed masterpiece to the piping world.

Malcolm's wife and two children also died in the accident.

His spirit did, for many years, wander on the face of the earth in search of an appropriate medium to undertake his unfinished task and knew he would never rest until this was done.

It took many years before Malcolm came across two great friends who lived in Montrose, on the east cost of Scotland, Hamish Bain and Peter Sinclair, the latter a piper and the former a violinist.

At last Malcolm had not only found one medium, but two.
