Infections & Haemorrhage in Acute Leukaemia

This book presents the papers given at the 2nd Bergamo Spring Conference on Haematology held in June 1988.

The meeting was devoted to physiopathological and clinical problems related to the two major causes of death in acute leukaemia: haemorrhage and infections.

The latter complications still represent a challenging problem, despite substantial progress that has been achieved in the treatment of acute leukaemias, including induction chemotherapy and autologous and allogenic bone marrow transplantation.
