Last bite : a novel

After ending a bad relationship, twenty-nine year old Casey Costello, an executive chef at a morning television show, swears off men.

Who has the time? She's busy overseeing a rambunctious food-prep crew in a kitchen the size of a closet; trying to please high-maintenance celebrity guest chefs; dealing with her mother, who believes that the solution to all of life's problems involves food; and trying to figure out why Sally Woods, a grand old dame of the culinary world and a regular on the show, has been acting so strangely ever since her new agent entered the picture.

When Danny O'Shea, a hot new chef from Ireland, makes a guest appearance, Casey wants nothing to do with him.

But feelings ignite faster than a flambe dessert when Danny whips up a few surprises during the show's shoot in Italy.
